Grayson in the New York Times

This morning's New York Times Dining & Wine section includes a short piece on the ACS Competition winners. Grayson is one of the two profiled cheeses, along with two retail locations in New York where you can find it: Stinky Bklyn and Murray's Cheese.

The growing buzz about the Grayson in particular and the dairy as a whole has had us scrambling to keep up. Don't tell Helen, but there's talk of going to a 7-day a week cheesemaking schedule...

...Or Meadow Creek Dairy folks at the Slow Food Nation festival this weekend in San Francisco.

Slow Food Nation is set to be a major festival centered on small-scale, artisanal, and farmstead producers of sustainable, enjoyable, nutritious, and natural food. (In short, everything fast food is not).

With fifteen tasting pavilions, the event is sure to be a great opportunity to, as the website puts it, "Celebrate, Learn and Act to build a food system that is sustainable, just, and delicious."

Dan and Kat will be working in the cheese tasting pavilion on Saturday (and possibly other times over the weekend) so if you're attending, be sure to drop by and say hello! A pair of presentations on cheese-related topics and the Dairy itself will also take place on Saturday evening, around 7pm.

Come on down, sample the goodies (we're bringing Grayson), and learn about where your food comes from.
